Magazine Proposal

Name: How does it differ: A lot of magazines I read all have a lot of sob articles about how their boyfriends cheated on them which is annoying. I don't want my magazine to be based on sex and relationships. I want mine to be feminist, incorporate "girl power" but also have some politics/ news from all over the world that people should be informed about. It will be professional, witty and fun. I also want my magazine to have a fashion section which will have sexy laid back clothes that are comfortable and affordable and of course gossip on celebrities. I will ask for feed back from my readers so I know what I can Improve and so I know what the readers want more of. Its different because I think it will end up controversial from the content which will encourage women to be independent and live life to the fullest by feeling good about who they are.

Readers: I think it will catch a lot of attention among women in their twenties and thirties. It will probably reach out to middle/upper class and people to like to feel good about themselves and have an opinion.

Other Magazines: I have never read it but supposedly "Bitch", allure, cosmopolitan minus so much sex and relationships.

Investors/advertisers: I want my investor to be Perez Hilton!!! I want Bare Minerals make up, Nike, Fekkai Hair products, o.p.i nail polish and Tiffany and co.

5 articles: Get everything you want, Don't settle for less than you best, think pink (Susan G Komen article october is breast cancer awareness month), Perez Hilton's blogs (he wont put on the internet all the blogs, he will save a certain amount that he favorites to put in the magazine to get people to buy it), Politics, who cares and best places to get pampered.

  2. Good concept. I can see how the advertisers are trying to reach your target audience.
